Now we are studying matter. We have learned about liquids, beakers, and graduated cylinders.
This is our liquid matter lab. We had a student ask a very interseting question. The question was... Do wide and thin beakers hold the same amount of liquid? So we tested it out, and they do hold the same amount. We know that there are 3 states of matter. Solids, gases, and liquids.
Here is one of our students experimenting with changes in matter. The candle was melting and when she stuck her finger in the wax and pulled it out cooling the wax it got hard again. It went from a liquid to solid!
These are the ustencils we used for volume of liquids.
These are our wonderful kids doing our spongebobpants flip books. We sometimes create these flipbooks after we conduct experiments to show what we learned.
